Combine history with pleasure at the riverside

Culinary city tour

Experience a historically guided walk through the romantic part of Erfurt. The medieval old town is particularly charming with its many bridges and river settings as well as the historic mills, which were once vital for the existence of Erfurt’s population.

The tour leads into the idyllic little park landscape behind the Krämerbrücke, which is a kind of Little Venice with its small bridges and the forks of the Gera River. The walk then leads through the historic alleys, crossing over the Wenigemarkt market square to the Neue Mühle (New Mill) and the Grüne Schildchensmühle (Green Shield Mill), continuing along the river to the Lange Brücke (Long Bridge) with its two bridge structures spanning the Walkstrom and Bergstrom rivers. Today, the Lange Brücke with its numerous small boutiques and shops is a reminder of its heyday as a shopping street around 1900. The finale of the tour is a 3-course meal that awaits you in the historic Rabenmühle restaurant.
