Medieval historic centre
Erfurt is the spiritual home of Martin Luther. On this tour you will experience all the famous places where the great religious reformer resided and worked while he lived in Erfurt from 1501-1511.
The focus is on a visit to the Augustinian Monastery with the Luther Cell and the historic library of the Reformation with over 60,000 books. The Augustinian Monastery itself is the only medieval collegiate and cloister complex in Erfurt whose original buildings from the 13th century have been largely preserved. After the tour, enjoy the monastery atmosphere during a coffee break with homemade cake, or try the delicious monastery stew.
